Firecracker Trot 5k
Come and join the Worthington Hills Civic Association’s fantastic weekend of Independence Day weekend events! This traditional weekend begins with the annual Firecracker Trot 5K that starts and finishes at Worthington Hills Elementary School and features a fantastic course through the neighborhoods of Worthington Hills!
Fun Fest
There are two types of wristbands available with the additional option of purchasing raffle tickets prior to the event. All attendees 3 years & older need a wristband.
Carnival games ($6 each) include Cookie Walk, Soda Ring Toss, Football Toss, Lacrosse Toss, Slam Dunk, Tic Tac Toe, all the Kid’s area activities, and much more!
SuperGames + Carnival Games ($12 each) includes everything listed above + Inflatables: Boom Box Bounce, Hungry Hippo Chow Down, Level Up Slide, Switch Game Obstacle Course, & Wackie Kiddie Korner.
Raffle Tickets ($1 each or 6 for $5) for an opportunity to win one of our fabulous gift baskets donated by local businesses and neighbors. Purchasing ahead of time will also allow you to write your name & phone number on the tickets prior to the event.
Pre-Sale wristbands and tickets will be delivered to Worthington Hills addresses. If you live outside of Worthington Hills or did not receive your wristbands, there will be a Will Call table at the event.
July 4th Parade: Street Float Registration Form
Street Float Registration begins Sunday, April 19th at 5pm and runs through June 21st at 5pm.
Let’s come together and make this year’s parade unforgettable by creating a float for the theme, “Dynamic Duos.”
- Each participating street must submit this entry form designating their float theme.
- Within 24 hours of receiving this completed registration form, we’ll let you know if you’re the first to claim your theme. Please submit a #1 and #2 theme preference, in case your top choice has already been claimed.
- Waivers will be sent to you once your float theme is submitted.
- Each registered street will receive a stipend from the WHCA to help with expenses; a check will be delivered the week of 6/29.

We’ve already begun planning for our annual July 4th celebration in 2026! We’ll share more information as the summer draws nearer.

- Friday, July 3: Stars and Stripes Softball Games at Worthington Hills Elementary School

* Recognition boards will be located at the entrance to Worthington Hills on Route 315. Thousands of cars pass by on a daily basis. The boards will be on display for approximately five weeks – four weeks prior through one week after July 4th.
